Jeffrey L. Hirsch, author of Lexis Law Publishing’s Labor and Employment in Massachusetts and partner at Hirsch, Roberts, Weinstein LLP, returned the Social Law Library on Thursday, February 26, 2015, for the Seventh Annual Advanced Labor Law Seminar.

The program was attended by attorneys representing management and labor, both public and private, which created an environment for a lively discussion of the issues.

Jeff introduced and analyzed 2014’s most important developments in Labor Law, such as the newly enacted Domestic Leave Law, Parental Leave Law and Paid Sick Days Law, the scope of the Federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), U.S. Supreme Court cases involving National Labor Relations Board, and a review of the recent organization of Adjunct Faculty throughout the United States.  Attendees were encouraged by Jeff to ask questions throughout the seminar creating a conversational feel.  One attendee explained, “Great presentation and case selection!”

The Library would like to thank our co-sponsor Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, the attendees, and, especially, Jeff for his continued commitment to the education of our members in the area of Labor and Employment Law.  We look forward to next year’s Eighth Annual Advanced Labor Law Seminar!
