Appeals Court Attorney Training at the Social Law Library

Posted: Jan 29, 2014

Through a series of “Legal Research Tutorials,” the Social Law Library is helping staff attorneys throughout Massachusetts learn how to take full advantage of their unlimited, free remote access to the Social Law Library’s legal-research databases. On January 27, 2014 Social Law’s senior reference librarian, Brian Harkins, led two training sessions for staff attorneys from the Massachusetts Appeals Court, with "hands-on" sessions at the Social Law Library. A total of 17 staff attorneys attended the sessions where they learned how to log on to the databases that they can use at no charge for all of their legal research needs.

The remote access databases that the Social Law Library provides to state attorneys are essentially the same as those provided to solo and small-firm members of the Library.
