(April 6, 2020)
To effectuate the Supreme Judicial Court’s Order of April 1st Restricting Court Appearances to Emergency Matters until May 4, 2020, the Social Law Library will be closed to all visitors, including dues paying-members and governmental users until at least May 4, 2020.
The Library will continue to restrict its hours to 8 am to 4:30 pm and only Reference Attorneys and other employees who must be on site will be working on the premises. All other employees will be working from home.
The Reference Attorneys will triage essential and pressing requests by phone (617-226-1520) or email (email@example.com).
If Library members need an item from the collection, the staff can retrieve it and, when permitted by copyright, fax or PDF it. If provided with an account number, the Library can still send books to patrons by UPS or FedEx. However, since the Courthouse is entirely closed to all non-employees, traditional loans and book returns must be suspended until further notice. Copy Center, Circulation, and Interlibrary Loan will have limited staff and can be reached at 617-226-1500 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All items currently checked out will have a due date of May 11, 2020 or later. If you have a question about items you have checked out, please contact the Circulation Desk.
