(Updated May 27, 2020)
In compliance with the Supreme Judicial Court’s order of May 26th stating, in part, that all state court buildings in Massachusetts will remain physically closed to the general public until at least July 1, the Social Law Library must also be closed to all visitors, including dues-paying members, until the SJC opens the John Adams Courthouse to the public sometime after July 1. See SJC press release.
The Library will continue to restrict its hours to 8 am to 4:30 pm and only Reference Attorneys and other employees who must be on site will be working on the premises. All other employees will be working from home.
The Reference Attorneys will triage essential and pressing requests by phone (617-226-1520) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If Library members need an item from the collection, the staff can retrieve it and, when permitted by copyright, fax or PDF it. If information cannot be electronically delivered, essential books and other items can be safely picked up and returned by appointment outside the main entrance to the John Adams Courthouse or can be mailed to your office or home. In order to set up a pickup, please reach out to the Circulation staff at 617-226-1500 or email@example.com.
If you have a question about items you have checked out, please contact the Circulation Desk.
