Prominent Women to Speak at Chelsea District Court Virtual Event Celebrating Women's History Month
On Tuesday, March 30, Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, and other prominent women in law, government, the media, and community organizing, will speak at a virtual event organized and hosted by Chelsea District Court First Justice Matthew Machera and Chelsea District Court Chief Probation Officer Carmen Z. Gomez.
The event, “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to be Silenced”, in honor of Women’s History Month, will take place on Zoom. In addition to SJC Chief Justice Budd, participants will include: former U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz; retired Appeals Court Justice Diana Maldonado; Trial Court Chief Justice Paula Carey; Juvenile Court Chief Justice Amy Nechtem; Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins; CityLine Host and WCVB-TV Public Affairs Director Karen Holmes-Ward; and Chelsea Collaborative Executive Director Gladys Vega.
