Join us for a webinar on what it takes to perform under pressure over a full career, without burning out.

Lawyers are trained to absorb pressure and keep going. That mindset works until it does not. In this session, attorney and speaker Jonathan Z. Cohen draws on his experience as a Bronx Special Victims Division prosecutor, associate in-house counsel, speaker, and endurance athlete to demonstrate that resilience is a trainable skill. He will unpack the specific pressures of legal practice including adversarial dynamics, relentless client demands, perfectionism, and a culture that rewards self-sacrifice. He will then deliver practical habits, boundaries, and recovery routines that let high performers sustain their output without eroding their health or relationships. Expect a candid, concrete conversation, with frameworks you can put to use the same afternoon.

This program will:

  • Name the specific pressures inherent to legal practice and recognize the early warning signs of burnout and chronic stress that lawyers experience
  • Introduce practical frameworks for building mental fitness: managing stress, sustaining focus through long matters, and recovering after high-stakes work
  • Offer strategies for separating professional setbacks like an adverse ruling, a lost client, harsh feedback from personal identity and self-worth
  • Examine how sleep, movement, and recovery habits underpin the cognitive stamina and judgment that good lawyering depends on
  • Provide a straightforward, repeatable system for establishing firm boundaries and protecting time for the commitments and relationships outside of work
