Civility can show up in many places in the legal profession—from opposing counsel and clients, to colleagues, supervisors, and the courtroom. This program explores practical strategies for responding effectively without allowing someone else’s behavior to dictate your own.
Participants will learn ways to:
- Create distance from the situation
- Pause before reacting
- Stay focused on their goals
- Address difficult behavior directly when appropriate
- Support others who may be experiencing bullying or incivility
