Law Day Celebrations Planned in Courthouses Across the State
In recognition of Law Day 2017, students across the Commonwealth will participate in educational activities about the Rule of Law and the judicial branch of government. Students will have an opportunity to interact with judges, lawyers, law clerks and other court officials.
This year’s Law Day theme, the Fourteenth Amendment, reshaped American law and society, in particular its impact on civil rights, due process, and equal protection under the law for all Americans.
Law Day was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 as a day to recognize the principles of government under the law, and the nation’s heritage of liberty and justice.
